The future of ONE ALBANIA: the model of the integrated service provider

Increased investments in integrating all services into one, improving quality, increasing internet speed, and expanding fiber infrastructure are some of the initiatives undertaken by the company immediately after the merger of the two telecommunications giants, part of the Hungarian group 4iG. Recently, the investor of One Albania finalized a memorandum of cooperation with the Albanian Government for the construction of a high-capacity submarine cable line, a strategic and innovative investment that turns Albania into a hub of international connectivity. This project marks a pivotal moment in Albania's digital evolution.

The company has a track record of continuous success, with a significant presence in entirely new platforms, such as One TV. It has brought a transformed television experience that not only has improved performance but has also been crafted to make the television experience unique, offering the latest technological developments in the simplest way possible, for everyone! One as a brand of truth is based on honest communication where everyone's suggestions are listened to in order to offer the best and most suitable products and services.

To learn more about developments in the telecommunications market as well as the company's specific plans for what will be offered to customers, we have conducted an interview with Mr. Athanasios Paraskevas, Chief Commercial Consumer Officer.

Mr. Paraskevas, you have been leading the Commercial Consumer Group at One Albania for over a year, since the integration of the two operators. How has the company transformed its services since then? What have you brought differently?

When One Albania began its journey in the Albanian market, it promised to be close to the needs of the customers. That's why we are always in search of new, improved technologies, and better services. Our first task was to listen to everyone's voice, not just those who trusted us. We needed to know their expectations and how much they trusted the new union. We listened to their complaints and requests, and based on the contributions given, we built a completely refreshed product portfolio, with the objective of offering real products, at competitive prices, for real people, relying on our brand values and their needs. In mobile offers, we increased internet speed in the new Ultra Unlimited plans, offering customers the benefit of unlimited volumes. For the first time in Albania, we introduced Trade & Upgrade as an innovative solution to give customers the opportunity to sell their old devices to get new ones, updating to the latest technology at the best price, and at the same time, promoting environmental care through the recycling of these products. We enabled our customers to access the latest Premium devices as an official reseller of international brands like Apple & Samsung. As a result of continuous investments, we expanded our Fiber infrastructure, for higher quality internet and much faster speed, directly to customers' premises, and achieved their massive transition from the outdated xDSL technology to the new Fiber technology. We also managed to provide the Plug & Play solution through HomeNet, for rural areas, through 4G+ speed, to get internet anywhere and to connect even the remotest areas with access to technology. I would call it a success story, the completely new platform, One TV. We proudly acknowledge that One Albania will make a difference, even in providing the best television services experience in Albania. With the aim of offering a unique experience through a very important product, the Mix & Max combinations were an excellent opportunity to combine our products and services, while increasing benefits in broadband, TV, and cellular services. The customer can combine the services they need, customizing them according to their needs on a real platform that offers full flexibility of choices at the best cost, with the combined concept and packages.It seems that One Albania aims to move towards offering integrated fixed and cellular services.

What are the advantages of offering these types of services for customers?

From the customer's perspective, offering these services means that you can get all services in one place: cellular connections, fixed connections, TV, entertainment, every service in one integrated package. Therefore, customers are given the opportunity to enjoy an improved experience and have only one point of contact for solving their issues. Consequently, offering these complete, integrated packages enhances customer satisfaction through a harmonized experience and higher quality in the use of all services. This is something that we consider the future of service delivery and a trend coming from developed countries, and we are trying to implement it in Albania through the One-stop shop concept."
